Location:
Wimberley, TX Schedule:
Full-time, with a biweekly 12-hour weekend shift What You'll Do as a Cook As a Cook at Nova Recovery Center , you'll play a key role in providing healthy, nutritious meals that support our clients' well-being.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing meats, vegetables, starches, and other food items with care and attention to detail Following menus, recipes, and schedules to maintain consistency and quality Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment with no cross-contamination Practicing proper hygiene and safe use of kitchen equipment Working as part of a team to deliver meals efficiently and on time Maintaining confidentiality when interacting with staff and clients Your work will directly contribute to a healing environment where individuals can focus on their recovery journey . What You Need to Apply High school diploma or GED At least 1 year of experience in food preparation in a restaurant or institutional setting At least 1 year of scratch cooking and portion control experience Ability to follow recipes, menus, and kitchen procedures Reliable transportation Must acquire and maintain a Food Handler's License Work Environment + Physical Demands This position operates in a professional kitchen and may require: Standing for extended periods Occasional lifting, bending, and walking Using commercial kitchen equipment At Nova Recovery Center , we believe in supporting both our clients and our staff .
