Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate cook to join our team . As a cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and service. If you have a passion for culinary arts and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards Assist with meal preparation for catering events and special occasions Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely service Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed Responsible for set-up of carts to be delivered to resident dining areas, if applicable. Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, families and visitors. Provide support to community's marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor. Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of food safety and handling practices Experience in cooking and meal preparation, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Knowledge of culinary techniques and flavor profiles

Requirements:

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Must be able to pass a background check and be at least 18 years of age Ability and Experience requirements: Must have previous experience as a cook in an institutional setting. Must have criminal record clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age Education Requirements High school diploma is preferred.
