Job Description

Benefits Health Insurance, Paid Holidays, Paid Personal Time Job Description The Glenwild culinary department is looking for talented individuals! We get to play with the best ingredients and create the majority of what we do in house. The Grill and Saute Cook is one of our most important roles in our culinary team. We will invest in you and cross train you to understand all of our stations, eventually helping to create "specials" and successful new menu items. Cross-train and perform duties of all culinary positions (grill, sauté, garde manger, pastry & basic food preparation) as scheduled or needed using standard operating procedures Responsible for completing station set up with predetermined mise en place required for each position. Ability to read recipes & follow their instructions. Maintain and ensure immaculate facilities for guests - Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the front of house and back of house areas using a 'clean as you go' philosophy Responsible for flow management, concentrating on busy areas first - prioritizing and organizing steps of service by effective multi-tasking Maintain sanitary conditions in all dining, kitchen and bar areas in accordance with state and local regulations Inform supervisor immediately of any equipment not in proper condition or good working order Inform supervisor immediately of needed equipment & supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year line experience Strong knowledge of the following: five star customer service; casual, fine dining and banquet food. Able to work up to and sometimes more than 40 hours a week especially during peak times throughout the season. Ability to work any day of the week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays Ability to physically handle knives, pots, supplies & display items as well as grasp, lift & carry same from shelves & transport to every area of the kitchen/club. Must be able to stand for long hours at a time. Must safely use and handle various kitchen machinery including: knives, slicers, food processors, grinders, mixers, & other kitchen related equipment. Must hold a valid Food Safety/Food Handler's Permit. All offers of employment with Glenwild are contingent on successful completion of a background check, references, and E-Verification.
