This multifaceted role offers an exciting opportunity to combine culinary expertise with compassionate caregiving. You will be instrumental in fostering a safe and engaging space where children thrive and are well cared for, all while ensuring meal times are healthy, enjoyable, and aligned with dietary needs. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will contribute to a positive atmosphere that supports children's growth and well-being. Duties Prepare and serve balanced, nutritious meals tailored to children's dietary requirements, including menu planning and food presentation. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning with precision and safety in mind. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene during all stages of food handling and preparation. Assist with daily caregiving activities, including supervising playtime, engaging children in educational activities, and providing emotional support. Support meal times by serving food safely and politely, ensuring children are comfortable and engaged during eating. Keep the kitchen area clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations; monitor inventory levels of food supplies. Foster a caring environment by offering attentive childcare that promotes development, safety, and happiness. Experience Prior experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Proven background in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering service demonstrates strong food handling and customer service skills. Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques—including knife skills—and food safety practices is essential. Familiarity with fine dining or culinary environments enhances your ability to prepare high-quality meals efficiently. Knowledge of kitchen operations within the food service or hospitality sectors will support your success in this role. Previous childcare experience is a plus; candidates should demonstrate patience, attentiveness, and excellent communication skills. Certification or training related to food safety standards is preferred to ensure compliance with health regulations.
