Our small, prep kitchen is looking for a creative and dependable part-time Cook to join our team. This isn't a high-pressure, professional chef gig—it's a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to grow, get more involved in menu development, and work closely with a tight-knit service staff. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in kitchens and a passion for food preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the standards of our kitchen. This position requires a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and easy going team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area. Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient food service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Assist in training service staff on proper food prep procedures to ensure consistency Provide support to dietary aides when preparing meals for special dietary needs. Requirements Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal preparations is a plus. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required. A passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. Strong understanding of food handling and safety practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and compliant work environment Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude Why Join Us?
