Back of House Team Member- Kitchen/Cook

Pale Fire Brewing Co is looking for experienced, energetic back of house team members to join our team at our new location in Basye! As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high levels of food safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare menu items according to recipes and standards as well as custom orders Operate and maintain pizza oven, ensuring cleanliness and functionality Monitor and regulate oven temperature to ensure consistent and even cooking Apply toppings to pizzas and cook pizzas to perfection Prep certain items and ingredients according to company standards Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of food items Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen environment Communicate effectively with other staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders Assist with the inventory management of food items and supplies Assist with the development of new pizza recipes and menu items

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a busy restaurant environment Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and utilizing downtime without being asked Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including boxes of cheese and containers of sauce Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment
