Responsibilities Food Preparation:

Prepare and assemble buffet offerings according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.

Station Management:

Ensure smooth operation of your assigned kitchen station during service hours, keeping it clean, organized, and fully prepped.

Buffet Maintenance:

Monitor food levels and temperatures on the buffet line, proactively cooking and restocking as needed to keep the display full, fresh, and visually attractive at all times.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate seamlessly with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely, efficient service.

Food Safety:

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation throughout all food handling processes, strictly adhering to health codes.

Culinary Technique:

Handle ingredients with care, utilizing proper knife skills and varied cooking techniques for optimal quality and consistency.

Volume Cooking:

Assist in large-scale prep for daily buffet service, catering events, or special functions without sacrificing quality.

Skills Experience:

Proven experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar culinary role within high-volume restaurants, buffets, or catering services.

Technical Skills:

Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods (e.g., grilling, roasting, sautéing, frying).

Safety Knowledge:

Strong background in food handling and a comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper kitchen procedures (ServSafe certification is a plus).

Adaptability:

Ability to adapt quickly to changing business volumes, working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy pots or supplies, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
