The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef by overseeing kitchen operations, managing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to fine dining experiences and catering events. The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and ensuring seamless food service management across various departments. Responsibilities Assist in menu planning and development to ensure innovative and high-quality offerings Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper handling procedures Lead food preparation activities for daily service, banquets, and catering events Oversee shift management to ensure smooth operations during service hours Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions Monitor food service quality to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence Requirements Proven experience in fine dining, catering, or restaurant management roles with a focus on culinary excellence Strong background in food industry practices including food safety, food handling, and inventory management Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment Knowledge of banquet experience, menu planning, and food production techniques Experience in hospitality settings such as hotel kitchens or large-scale catering operations is preferred Ability to manage kitchen operations effectively during shift management periods Culinary experience with expertise in cooking, food service management, and kitchen management Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment Familiarity with inventory control systems and food management procedures Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation Certification or training in food safety is highly desirable This role offers an engaging opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to lead a team while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
