Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of delicious dishes to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
Manage and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant's menu and dietary requirements. Develop and maintain a repertoire of recipes and cooking techniques. Assist with food service and catering events, including meal preparation, presentation, and plating. Maintain a high level of food quality and presentation. Supervise and mentor other kitchen staff members. Ensure that all food products are stored and rotated properly. Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and sales. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations. Help to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen. Strong background in food preparation and culinary arts. Knowledge of dietary requirements and food allergies. Experience in meal preparation and food service. Familiarity with catering and special events. Proven track record of creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Skills:
Experience in the culinary field, with a focus on food preparation and service. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Effective communication and leadership skills. Familiarity with restaurant management systems and POS software. Ability to help with tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food service. Experience in the hospitality industry, including restaurants and catering services.
