In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and efficiency, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. Your expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to food safety will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of our kitchen. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a love for creating memorable meals, this opportunity is perfect for you! Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with consistency, quality, and presentation in mind Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure uniformity across dishes Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards at all times Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support kitchen operations Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and sanitation procedures Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food as needed Requirements Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • minimum of 3 years line cook experience in a full service restaurant Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques Experience with dietary department protocols and dietary aide procedures is a plus Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices Ability to work efficiently and at times, independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude exceptional customer service skills•this is an open concept kitchen and you will directly interact with customers.
We are currently building out a new full service bar /restaurant location, and until that is complete, you will learn and work out of our takeout location. We are serious about our products. We are 100% vegan, so vegan or vegetarian cooking experience is amazing
  • but willing to train a hard working food visionary who will help us grow.
Maturity, cleanliness, experience with all stations and friendliness towards customers and other staff are non Negotiable. If you don't know how to light a fryer, flattop grill, oven pilot, or do not have excellent knife skills, or unwilling to operate the register and answer customer questions when needed, we are not your place. Be willing to get sweaty
  • until our new location is ready, we work in a stationary food truck type building. It is old, hot and fun. But not for the faint of heart. After training period, you will have days when you will handle a portion of lunch on your own
  • so must have the confidence and ability needed for self direction.
if our interview goes well, please be prepared for a working second interview. Please, do not apply if you have not cooked. Experience is essential. Attention to detail is critical. Cleanliness is required. In our location currently, tips are split due to our set up (everyone does everything). This will not be the case when we move back to a traditional service establishment. Position can lead to FT. Hours needed are daytime, 10-4 T-SAT. Availability to work some evening shifts or catering events desired if needed.
