As a key player in our kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to specification, and supporting the overall flow of food service. We value motivated team members who thrive in fast-paced settings and are committed to food safety and quality. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items with precision and efficiency Cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service hours Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines Support kitchen staff with food handling, portioning, and plating tasks Follow proper knife skills techniques for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients Help with catering orders and special event food preparation as needed Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide role, or restaurant environment preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards Familiarity with menu planning and meal assembly processes Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure Experience in food service or the food industry demonstrating reliability and teamwork Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in a busy kitchen setting People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
