We are seeking Cooks for our Assisted Living Facility located in Suffolk, VA Responsibilities and duties for
Cook:
Coordinate and supervise food service preparation for residents. Manage a wide range of dietary restrictions. Manage USDA feeding programs Performs housekeeping activities as needed. Clean kitchen daily. Requisition cleaning supplies as necessary through Program Manager. Assist in safety and sanitation inspections as directed. Launder common-use items as necessary. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary food handling practices. Estimate anticipated food consumption and assist with purchasing, storage, and set-aside of food supplies as directed. Recordkeeping and accounting as it relates to food service Safeguards the civil rights of the individuals and the confidentiality of an individual's data. Completes required documentation to Agency, licensure, and Medicaid standards. Attends staff meetings and in-service training as required. Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager, Administrator, or Director. Qualifications and Skills for
Cook:
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma (or GED certificate), Certified Food Protection Manager, preferred Two (2) years direct care in the residential program is preferred. Direct care experience may be waived if individual has the ability and interest required to complete training offered. Benefits for Full-time for
