Job Description
Job Summary The Munchie Truck is looking for reliable , energetic team members to join our food truck crew! If you like working in a fast-paced environment, enjoy good food, and don't mind sweating or getting your hands dirty, this could be a great fit! We aim to cross train all staff to have the ability to work as a cook & cashier. Operating hours are currently Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 7pm - 10pm and Weekends from 7am - 10pm. The Munchie Truck will rotate locations on weekends: serving breakfast/lunch/dinner hours. Events that we are booked for will be disclosed ahead of time so staff are aware. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases or inquiries Accurately handle cash, debit/credit card, and digital payments using POS (Point of Sale) systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck, included the kitchen area, POS station and surrounding area Support food handling procedures by following safety and hygiene standards Assist with food preparation tasks, including meal assembly or to-go packaging when needed Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and order accuracy Uphold food safety protocols during all transactions and food handling activities Contribute to a welcoming environment by providing excellent customer service and addressing guest needs promptly Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or catering environments is highly preferred Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and hygiene practices Experience with menu planning or culinary tasks such as meal preparation and cooking is advantageous Experience working with griddles, ovens and fryers Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor Join our team to help those with the munchies and late night cravings!
