Job Description

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis. You'll support daily service by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean workspace, and helping the kitchen run smoothly.
Responsibilities Prep and portion ingredients:
wash, peel, chop, slice, and dice produce; measure and mix ingredients; label and date all prepped items - Banking and meat fabrication is a plus.
Assist with station setup:
stock the line with prepped items, sauces, and garnishes; refill as needed during service.
Basic cooking tasks:
par-cook items (blanching, roasting), prepare simple sauces and dressings, follow standardized recipes.
Food safety and cleanliness:
follow HACCP/ServSafe standards; rotate stock (FIFO); maintain sanitation logs; keep prep areas, equipment, and tools clean and organized; break down and sanitize stations.
Receiving and storage:
accept deliveries, check quality, put away inventory correctly, and track low-stock items.
Equipment use:
safely operate knives, slicers, mixers, food processors; report maintenance needs or safety hazards.
Collaboration:
support chefs as needed. Qualifications Prior prep or kitchen experience preferred; we'll train the right candidate. Knowledge of basic knife skills and kitchen safety. Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow recipes and prep lists accurately.
Schedule and Pay Part-time:
15-25 hours per week, including weekends/holidays as needed. Shifts typically mornings/afternoons to support dinner service. Competitive hourly pay based on experience; employee meal; potential for growth.
