Duties Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials. Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Use knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare ingredients for cooking and plating. Support food handling procedures during food service, catering events, and meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas to ensure a safe kitchen environment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation during busy service hours. Ensure proper food storage and inventory management to minimize waste. Contribute to a positive kitchen atmosphere by staying energetic, motivated, and proactive. Experience Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus. Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Experience with catering or large-scale food service operations is advantageous. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
