Cook at Avalon Golf Course

Job Summary We are seeking a cook to run the kitchen in our Cafe during our Golf League Nights. League Nights will be every Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 / 4:30 PM - 8:30 / 9:00 PM . We are also needing the candidate to help prep in the mornings : slicing meat, cheese, onions etc. Our banquets range from 50 - to 200+ guests , the candidate may also be needed to help cook / prep for those as well. More shifts may be available in the future. Must provide a valid Food Handlers Card upon accepting employment. Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods following established recipes and safety protocols Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices are maintained at all times Support catering events and special meal services Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies Follow food handling regulations diligently to ensure the safety of all meals prepared and served Skills Strong background food preparation and cooking techniques Good proficiency in meal preparation Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience working in restaurants or the food industry is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support seamless service Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus Free Golf! All employees are extended complimentary golf, cart, and driving range privileges. All plays must be approved by the pro shop in advance so not to disrupt the tee time schedule.

Pay Minimum Wage:

$17.13 hr. + shared tips Pay Periods Avalon pays employees on a semi-monthly pay cycle. Paychecks will be distributed after 2:00 PM on the 5th and 20th of each month. The paycheck on the 20th will cover the first fifteen days of the month and the paycheck on the 5th will cover the remaining days of the month Employment Records Upon your hire, you will be asked to complete the following forms: 1. Application 2. W-4 Federal Income Tax Deductions 3. I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification 4. Employee Information Sheet 5. Job Description 6.
