Executive Chef Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is key to supporting smooth kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting chefs during busy service hours. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced culinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, peel, chop, and portion vegetables, fruits, and proteins according to kitchen standards Prepare sauces, dressings, and other basic components as directed Assist with stock rotation and ingredient inventory management Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas and storage Follow food safety and sanitation procedures diligently Support chefs and line cooks by ensuring timely prep of ingredients Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed Washing and seasoning sushi rice Cleaning various fish and seafood Adhere to all kitchen safety and hygiene protocols
Qualifications:
Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required Basic knife skills and food handling knowledge Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to take on tasks proactively
