Description
PRIMARY FOCUS
Responsible for assisting with meal preparation, light cleaning duties, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. Your primary goal will be to provide high-quality meals in a timely fashion while adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Assist with meal preparation, including cooking, baking, and ensuring meals are prepared in a timely fashion. Follow the guidelines and regulations set by the Department of Health to ensure food safety and sanitation. Maintain knowledge of proper temperatures for hot and cold holding, cooking temperatures, and the safe dating of food. Help with food ordering and keeping track of inventory to ensure menu items are adequately stocked. Assist in cleaning and disinfecting countertops, tables, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and sanitary work area. Prepare tables before and after meals, ensuring they are properly set and cleaned. Clean and organize the fridge and freezer, ensuring food is stored correctly on shelves. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen cupboards, ensuring they are properly sanitized. Operate and maintain the dishwasher, ensuring it is properly used and cleaned. Ensure trash is properly disposed of and emptied before the end of each shift. Communicate with residents to understand their meal preferences and alternatives. Aid other kitchen aides on the floor when needed.
Requirements:
Required Education and Certification Current NAC licensure in the State of Washington. Current BLS upon hire and duration of employment Minimum of 2 years nurse assistant experience preferred but not required Acute patient care experience preferred but not required
