Job Overview We're looking for an energetic and friendly Prep Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be helping customers select delicious foods, preparing and serving a variety of food items, and ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting shopping experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service, has good knife skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail setting. Duties Assist customers by answering questions about our products and offering recommendations. Ability to perform meal preparation and assist with food presentation. Prepare and serve a variety of recipes, hot food items on a rotating menu and prepared foods. Use proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and quality standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly. Support meal preparation and food presentation for catering or special orders as needed. Follow all food safety regulations to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and staff. Requirements Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred; restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus. Strong knife skills with the ability to slice meats. Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards. Ability to perform meal preparation and assist with food presentation. Good communication skills to engage with customers effectively. Willingness to learn about our products, food safety protocols, and deli operations. A team-oriented attitude with enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service.
