Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are a new Korean restaurant located in the heart of downtown Spokane, looking for passionate and talented cooks to join our growing team. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in preparing and cooking authentic Korean dishes in a brand-new kitchen environment. You'll work closely with our Head Chef to deliver high-quality food and an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant, start-up team and help shape the restaurant's culinary offerings. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about learning, growing, and embracing new challenges in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Korean dishes according to our restaurant's menu and recipes, ensuring top-notch quality and presentation. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Assist with managing kitchen inventory, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Work efficiently to meet order deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and accurate service. Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Ensure the highest standards of taste, flavor, and authenticity in every dish served. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills and stay current with Korean food trends.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or Main Cook, ideally in a Korean or Asian cuisine setting (but not required). Skilled in kitchen operations with strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation. A passion for Korean cuisine and the ability to deliver authentic dishes. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to contribute to the success of the restaurant. Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain organized during busy service times. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Food safety certification is a plus but can be obtained after hiring.
