Job Description

One Mission. Many Opportunities. Come join the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration mission and ministry. We are seeking a full-time Food Service Cook, including every other weekend and rotating holidays, to join our team at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse, WI. This position would be 40 hours per week 10am-6pm shifts. You will work closely with other team members to create a positive and pleasant home for the sisters while being responsible to providing food service duties. In this role, you may, depending on your schedule: prepare the cafeteria line for meal service, Prepares food for sisters, staff and guests according to recipes and instructions Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work areas, stove, refrigerator Properly store food in designated areas Observes and enforces practices of proper food safety and sanitation; ensuring cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment. Washes pots, pans, trays, utensils and other cleaning duties as assigned Understands and supports departmental operations, policies and procedures. We are looking for someone who enjoys a wide range of duties and shares our values of hospitality and partnership and desires a culture that puts relationships first.
You should:
be committed to providing excellent customer service have the ability to work efficiently and effectively with a diverse group of people valid Servsafe certificate or ability to obtain one within 1 year of hire general knowledge of special diets preparation knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures An opportunity to foster hospitality by providing a welcoming, enjoyable experience for sisters, staff and guests by performing food service and clean up responsibilities.
