Schedule will be discussed during interview, but the kitchen is generally closed Sunday following brunch and Monday. Responsibilities Prep needed items for the day and setup workstations for the day Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness and prevent contamination Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas Assist in washing dishes, silverware, pots, and pans Work as a team player and execute any other duties that are assigned Qualifications Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Strong knowledge of knife skills and a range of cooking methods Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks Familiar with industry's best practices Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
