Summary/Objective:
We're looking for a dedicated and dependable Full-Time Fry Cook to join our Popeyes kitchen team! In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking our famous Louisiana-style fried chicken and other menu items to perfection. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook Popeyes menu items following standardized recipes and portion guidelines. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality. Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and food prep areas. Follow proper food handling and sanitation practices at all times. Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients by rotating and restocking supplies. Prepare breading and seasoning mixtures for chicken and other items. Assist with inventory tracking and food storage organization. Work collaboratively with team members to fulfill customer orders quickly and accurately. Help train new team members on kitchen procedures when needed. Minimize food waste through proper portioning and product handling. Communicate any equipment issues or safety concerns to management. Demonstrate reliability by maintaining regular attendance and punctuality. Support the team as needed in other areas of the restaurant.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to stand for long periods, talk, listen, and use hands for handling kitchen equipment and food items. Frequently required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently. Must be able to safely handle raw poultry products. Must maintain reliable and consistent attendance. Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age. Ability to work in a fastpaced kitchen environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and work as part of a team. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Comfortable using kitchen equipment and handling hot items. Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire). ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire). Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a quickservice or fastcasual restaurant environment. Knowledge of pointofsale systems and cash handling procedures. Experience with inventory management and control.
