This role is responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and ensuring a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and served in a timely manner Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas Monitor food supplies and notify management of inventory needs Work collaboratively with dietary staff and other departments Accommodate special dietary needs as directed Qualifications Previous cooking experience required, preferably in healthcare or a skilled nursing setting Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and time management skills Team player with good communication skills Must have a current Food Handler's Card (required) Work Environment Fast-paced healthcare/skilled nursing environment Team-oriented setting focused on resident care and nutrition
