Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation within the food industry. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Duties Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food handling regulations. Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and create innovative dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Assist in catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of meals and presentation according to specifications. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety practices, and kitchen operations. Support the Dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required. Qualifications Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling safety, and sanitation practices is essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Experience in catering or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required.
