Job Description
HOTEL JACKSON
Jackson, Wyoming IBERO Line Cook Kitchen | Lunch + Dinner | Full-Time, Year-Round Competitive Hourly Rate Benefit Package + 401K- Subsidized Employee Housing
- Ski Pass discount + Local Perks Who We Are Hotel Jackson is a boutique luxury hotel on the Town Square in Jackson, Wyoming.
Our mission is simple:
We are here to host. That means anticipating needs, elevating every detail, and delivering impactful memorable moments. The Role We're looking for a Line Cook who brings discipline, skill, and real pride in the craft to every shift. You'll execute a high-quality menu to exact specifications, maintain your station to a precise standard, and work as a reliable part of a tight-knit kitchen team. This is a role for someone who cares about the food — not just the technique, but the consistency, the presentation, and what it means for the guest experience on the other side of the pass. The kitchen at IBERO is small by design, which means your contribution is immediate and your standards are visible every service. What You'll Own Station setup: arrive ready to work — prep station fully stocked, organized, and set to standard before service begins.Prep execution:
prepare components of each dish with precision — knife work, sauce production, portioning — according to the chef's exact specifications.Line execution:
cook menu items to standard during service with consistency, speed, and attention to presentation.Food safety:
maintain preparation and storage areas that meet health and safety requirements at all times; never compromise on this.Inventory awareness:
monitor station stock, communicate needs to the chef, and assist with restocking and ordering support.Kitchen standards:
keep prep areas clean and organized throughout the shift and participate in end-of-shift breakdown and cleanup.Team communication:
work with the full kitchen team under the direction of the Executive Chef with clear, efficient communication and a collaborative attitude. What We're Looking For Minimum 4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with proven line cook experience in a high-quality restaurant or hotel environment. Strong knife skills and working knowledge of a broad range of cooking techniques and methods. Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent training preferred. Deep familiarity with food safety standards, health codes, and kitchen best practices. Able to work with speed and precision under service pressure without losing attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills — you contribute to the kitchen culture, not just your station. Reliable, organized, and consistent: the team counts on you every shift. Who Thrives Here This kitchen is the right place for a cook who wants to do the work well — someone who finds satisfaction in a perfectly executed dish and takes the standard personally. The team is small, the expectations are high, and the impact is direct. You'll thrive if you: Take real ownership of your station and your output — proactively, not just when someone is watching. Are precise:
you follow recipes exactly and communicate when something isn't right. Bring energy and consistency to every shift, peak service or not. Thrive in a high-trust, high-accountability kitchen where your craft is seen. This may not be the right fit if you: Need heavy supervision to maintain station standards or keep up with service pace. Are not interested in working to a chef's exact specification and recipe standard. Prefer a larger kitchen where individual contribution is less visible. Compensation & Benefits We know Jackson is one of the most expensive places to live in the country. We've built this package to make it work. Competitive hourly rate + tips where applicable Medical benefits (full-time/year-round eligible) Subsidized ski pass + select local perks Employee discounts at the restaurant/bar, and retail outlets How to Apply We review applications seriously, and we ask a few focused questions up front. Please include responses to the following with your application — submissions without them will not be considered. 1. Experience List your last three kitchen roles with start/end dates and a brief note on the concept, your station, and why you moved on. 2. Craft What cuisine or cooking technique are you strongest in, and how did you develop that skill? 3. Standards Under Pressure Tell us about a service that pushed you — high volume, short-staffed, or a difficult situation. How did you handle it? 4. Why Hotel Jackson Why this role — and why now?
