Full Job Description Schedule:
Monday - Friday (Full-Time) +
Occasional Saturdays Experience Required:
Minimum 3 years (professional detailing environment) Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team. This is not a basic car wash position — this role requires advanced-level paint correction, ceramic coating application, and a strong understanding of proper detailing techniques for high-end and exotic vehicles. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, understands paint at a technical level, and can consistently deliver flawless results. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality exterior washes using proper wash methods (foam cannon, two-bucket method, etc.) Execute paint correction and polishing at a professional level: Remove swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, and imperfections Perform multi-stage corrections when required Apply ceramic coatings on: Gloss paint finishes Matte/satin finishes (must understand proper prep and product differences) Perform interior detailing : Deep cleaning, stain removal, leather care, plastics, and trim restoration Conduct final delivery prep for vehicles to ensure showroom-level presentation Maintain and organize detailing tools, chemicals, and work areas Assist with shop organization , including: Cleaning workspaces Organizing and storing parts Supporting technicians when needed Perform quality control checks before vehicle delivery Requirements Minimum 3 years professional detailing experience Proven experience with: Paint correction (cutting, polishing, finishing) Ceramic coating applications Strong understanding of: Paint types (clear coat, single stage, matte finishes) Proper wash and decontamination techniques (clay bar, iron removal, etc.) Ability to work on high-end, luxury, and exotic vehicles High attention to detail — must be able to deliver consistent, swirl-free finishes Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment Own equipment (not required but is a plus) Preferred (Not Required but Strong Plus) Experience with paint protection film (PPF) Experience with wet sanding Knowledge of different polishing systems (Rupes, Flex, etc.) Experience working in a performance or high-end automotive shop Basic understanding of shop workflow and technician coordination
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
