You'll play a key role in preparing our inventory for sale by ensuring every vehicle looks its absolute best inside and out.
• Job Summary
• We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to thoroughly clean and recondition used vehicles according to our established checklist. The ideal candidate will follow a comprehensive process to make each car showroom-ready, handling both interior and exterior detailing tasks with precision and efficiency in a fast-paced dealership environment. ####
• Responsibilities
• Follow the dealership's detailed checklist for every vehicle, including:
• Checking notes from inspections and addressing any specific concerns.
• Degreasing and cleaning gas door, trunk jambs, door jambs, and engine bay; dressing the engine bay.
• Removing trash, floormats, stickers, and writing from interior/exterior glass and surfaces.
• Cleaning and treating floormats; removing stains from carpets and seats.
• Thoroughly vacuuming seats, carpets (including under and between seats), cubbies, cup holders, compartments, and trunk.
• Cleaning door panels, plastics, steering wheel, dashboard, glove box, center console, radio, pedals, seatbelt buckles/receivers.
• Re-vacuuming as needed; applying interior dressings; cleaning all interior glass, radio face, cluster, mirrors, and visors.
• Installing air fresheners and floormats.
• Removing aftermarket stickers/logos from exterior; using rubbing compound for scuffs/scratches.
• Sanding and buffing headlights; deep cleaning wheels, tires, wheel wells, bugs/spots from bumper, grill, hood, and mirrors.
• Washing exterior; applying tire shine and exterior dressings.
• Installing front and rear Georgia Elite Auto Sales tags and logos.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and ready for customer viewing or delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols.
• Test and move vehicles as needed (with a valid driver's license).
• Collaborate with the team to prioritize vehicles and meet deadlines. ####
• Qualifications
• Previous experience in automotive detailing or car cleaning preferred (dealership or reconditioning experience a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and checklists consistently.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods.
• Familiarity with cleaning products, tools, and equipment (buffers, pressure washers, vacuums, etc.).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• No formal education required beyond high school diploma or equivalent; on-the-job training provided.
