Job Description

McCormick & Company, Inc., a global leader in the spice, flavor, and seasonings industry, is seeking a full-time Sanitor I. This new hire will work in the South Bend plant, located at 3425 Lathrop Street, South Bend, IN. The position title will report to a Production Team Manager.
Shift:
3rd Shift - Monday to Friday 10:00pm to 6:30am - Overtime required as needed to include weekend work McCormick & Company, Incorporated is a global leader in flavor with approximately 14,000 employees worldwide. RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily breakdown of production equipment for cleaning/degreasing Operation of floor scrubber in production/warehouse areas Daily trash removal to include pallets, drums, and bags Perform silo cleanouts Daily cleaning of facility to include: sweeping, washing floors, and high dusting Sanitization of equipment/supplies Restocking of supplies Other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to obtain a scissor lift license required Ability to sustain physical work - Must be able to stand on concrete for 8+ hours per day Good Communication Skills Ability to follow through on assigned task with minimal supervision Ability to lift 25 lbs., if assigned to office area, or 50 lbs. if assigned to plant area Basic knowledge of machine functions required Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work overtime, which is mandatory at times. Regular on-site attendance is required and is essential for the position. Ability to operate a forklift, knuckle boom, scissor lift, and floor scrubber. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses. Must be able to work at high elevation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in food manufacturing Basic knowledge of uses, versatility, and limitations of cleaning devices and materials required Basic knowledge of machine functions required.
