Job Description

Position Overview The Boat Detailer is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, presentation, and overall aesthetic condition of vessels within the marina's rental fleet, customer-owned boats, and showroom inventory. This position plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of appearance and readiness for customer use or display. Primary Responsibilities Perform exterior cleaning and detailing of boats, including hulls, decks, and topsides, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Clean and sanitize interior areas such as upholstery, flooring, compartments, and storage spaces. Remove stains, mildew, and debris using specialized techniques and products. Apply waxes and protective coatings as required to preserve and enhance boat surfaces. Conduct visual inspections to identify damage or maintenance needs and promptly report findings to the Service Manager. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the detailing area and associated equipment. Operate pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, and other tools safely and effectively. Adhere to all safety guidelines and marina operational policies. Qualifications Previous experience in marine or automotive detailing is preferred. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and supplies. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts as required.
