Refresh My Ride Auto Detailing is hiring a part-time Car Detailer / Ceramic Coating Installer Assistant to support our full-time technicians with detailing, paint preparation, ceramic coating prep, shop organization, and day-to-day production tasks. This position will start as part-time help for our lead technicians and can transition into a larger role for the right person. You do not need to be an expert to apply, but you must be reliable, coachable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn our process. As you improve, you will have the opportunity to learn higher-level detailing skills including polishing, paint correction prep, ceramic coating installation support, interior detailing, exterior detailing, and eventually more independent technician work. What You'll Do Assist lead technicians with interior and exterior detailing Vacuum interiors and remove light trash Clean floor mats, wheels, tires, and door jambs Assist with washing, drying, and prepping vehicles Wipe down interior surfaces Help with decontamination steps such as bug removal, tar removal, clay bar prep, and iron removal Assist with paint correction and ceramic coating prep Help organize towels, chemicals, tools, polishers, and equipment Restock supplies and keep the shop clean Help clean and reset the van or shop at the end of the day Float between technicians depending on where help is needed Assist with mobile jobs at customers' homes and workplaces when needed What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual Strong work ethic Good attitude and willingness to learn Able to work quickly without cutting corners Able to follow directions and pay attention to detail Comfortable working around dirty vehicles, pet hair, stains, and messes Comfortable working on your feet in a physical environment Team player who can move with urgency Interested in learning detailing, polishing, paint correction, and ceramic coating Preferred But Not Required Prior detailing, car wash, or automotive experience Experience with cleaning, labor, or hands-on work Interest in cars and automotive care Valid driver's license Experience using polishers or installing ceramic coatings is a plus Schedule / Hours This position starts part-time and can transition into a larger role depending on your availability, reliability, skill development, and overall fit. Hours will vary depending on our schedule, but we are mainly looking for help during our busiest production hours. Shifts will typically fall during the daytime, with a typical start time around 9:00 AM. Pay Starting pay is $15 to $17 per hour, depending on experience, work ethic, reliability, and overall fit. There is opportunity to increase your earnings over time through tip share, performance-based bonuses, commission incentives, and growth within the company. Top performers who develop into more skilled detailing and ceramic coating roles have the potential to earn $25+ per hour.
