Virginia Beach, VA Role Overview As a Professional Automotive Detailer I at Simple Details, you will play a key role in providing our clients with the premium, boutique-level care that defines our brand. You'll be responsible for performing washes, vehicle touch-ups, and entry-level detailing services according to our industry-leading standards and SOPs. This is the starting point for a career path in automotive detailing, designed for professionals with a sharp eye for detail and a drive to deliver exceptional results. Your work ensures that every vehicle leaves our studio not only clean, but also elevated to Simple Details' white-collar experience in a blue-collar industry. Responsibilities Vehicle Washing & Detailing Perform hand washes using deionized water and pH-neutral shampoos. Clean interiors including vacuuming, panel wipe-downs, and glass cleaning. Apply waxes, sealants, or ceramic maintenance toppers following SOPs. Handle tire dressing, door jamb cleaning, and finishing touches consistently at a high standard. Prep all interiors and exteriors vehicles for paint Correction, ceramic coating and PPF installations. Quality Control & Customer Experience Conduct thorough self-checks before supervisor review. Support second-opinion walk-arounds before customer delivery. Follow client-centric SOPs to ensure every service meets expectations. Team Contribution & Shop Support Participate in daily huddles to align priorities and responsibilities. Assist with towel folding, weekly inventory submissions, closing procedures, and shop cleanliness. Communicate proactively with supervisors and teammates to support workflow efficiency. Safety & Professional Standards Wear company-approved uniform and adhere to shop safety guidelines. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work bay. Handle tools, chemicals, and lifts according to proper safety procedures. Expected Results (KPIs)
Detail Quality Score:
90%+ pass rate on internal quality checks without rework.
Procedure Compliance:
100% adherence to wash and detailing SOPs.
Customer Experience:
Positive feedback related to vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
Documentation Accuracy:
On-time, accurate photo uploads and task tracking in company systems.
Efficiency:
Assigned work completed within expected timeframes while upholding standards.
Team Contribution:
Active participation in meetings, inventory, and shop upkeep. Requirements Experience & Qualifications 0-1 year of prior detailing or automotive experience (training provided). Familiarity with vehicle cleaning and detailing processes preferred. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
