Dishwasher / Back of House

Roles & Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Effectively wash, sanitize, and properly return dishes (plates, cups, utensils, pans, etc.) thoroughly, efficiently, and carefully Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area and kitchen equipment. Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures at all times Support the team with cleaning duties as assigned

• including main floor, restrooms, back of house, roastery Take out trash, recycling, and compost in accordance with health and safety standards Prepare food items and ingredients such as chopping ingredients, making syrups, etc. Assist with additional basic kitchen prep as needed
• including supporting baking team Follow food safety and sanitation protocols (proper storage, labeling, cleaning, etc.

) Communicate any maintenance or supply needs with Cafe Manager. Qualifications Prior dishwashing, prep cook & kitchen experience preferred Strong work ethic, efficiency, integrity, reliability, cleanliness, and attention to detail Able to handle dishes and equipment safely and with care Ability to work both independently and alongside other team Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods Commitment to teamwork and maintaining a clean, safe workspace Ability to communicate in English Strong attention to detail and pride in doing things right, even when unseen Nice to have: Strong grasp of kitchen skills like chopping, dicing Have updated current Food Handler's card Schedule & Compensation Friday
