In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the overall flow of food service operations. Your enthusiasm and commitment to cleanliness will help ensure our kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable hospitality experience in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning food items under supervision. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by bussing tables and clearing plates as needed. Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with safety regulations to promote a hygienic environment. Help with general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing workstations and storage areas. Aid in setting up catering events or banquet services by organizing supplies and assisting with food presentation. Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. Qualifications Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Knowledge of basic food handling practices and sanitation standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues during busy shifts. Experience in catering, banquet service, or hotel kitchens is a plus but not mandatory. Commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health regulations.
