Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to a positive atmosphere and ensure food safety standards are upheld at all times. Duties Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to maintain cleanliness standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision. Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients for meal service according to established recipes and safety guidelines. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations to prevent contamination. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including countertops, sinks, and storage spaces. Help with meal assembly and plating when needed to support timely service during busy periods. Follow proper knife skills for food prep tasks to ensure safety and efficiency in the kitchen. Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required. Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques is a plus. Experience working in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments demonstrates familiarity with food handling and safety practices. Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and working in a fast-paced setting. Basic culinary skills including knife handling, meal prep, and cooking techniques are desirable. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
