The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent service to our guests. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, counters, and food preparation areas. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients. Properly store clean dishes and kitchen equipment in designated areas. Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when stock is low. Support the team during busy periods by assisting with bussing tables and catering events as needed. Follow all food safety regulations and maintain proper food handling practices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service. Skills Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is beneficial.
