In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment by properly cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Your efforts will ensure smooth food service operations and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using appropriate cleaning techniques. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, bathrooms, and ensure all equipment is in good working order. Assist with food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep or basic assembly when needed. Support the food service team by sweeping/mopping foyer and sushi bar area, bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting dining areas promptly. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times. Help with catering and banquet setups by ensuring all dishware and serving items are clean and ready for use. Adhere to health department regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Skills Experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering operations. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers. Basic culinary knowledge including food preparation and kitchen safety practices. Previous experience with bussing tables or supporting food service operations is a plus.
