ABOUT THIS ROLE

At Lester's, the dishwasher is essential to the kitchen. Without clean plates, tools, and equipment, service does not run. This role maintains the cleanliness and flow of the kitchen. You are expected to keep the dish station organized, stay ahead of volume during service, and ensure everything is properly washed, sanitized, and returned where it belongs. The work is steady and physical, and it requires consistency and focus from start to finish. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job well. Someone who stays on top of their station, works with urgency, and supports the team without needing to be asked. When this role is done properly, the entire kitchen benefits. ABOUT LESTER'S

Lester's is a seafood-centric restaurant scheduled to open in May 2026 and will operate seven days a week, starting with dinner services and eventually opening for lunch. The menu is rooted in seasonal ingredients, coastal influences, and disciplined technique, with a strong emphasis on consistency and preparation. Lester's is designed to feel approachable, yet precise. The kitchen is expected to operate with confidence and clarity, supported by systems that allow quality to scale across services.

Wild Olive opened in 2009 and is located on Johns Island. The Obstinate Daughter then followed in 2014 and is located on Sullivan's Island. Both restaurants are in the Charleston area of South Carolina and have become staples of the restaurant culture there. The goal is not rapid expansion, but the creation of places that last. The Douglas and Lester's represent the group's expansion into Savannah, extending this philosophy into a boutique hotel and restaurant.

Maintain a clean and organized dish station at all times Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Ensure a steady flow of clean plates and tools during service Keep floors, sinks, and work areas clean and safe Assist with trash removal and recycling Support the kitchen team as needed Contribute to a respectful and accountable kitchen environment

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$41,900 - $54,300 estimated annual compensation based 45 hours a week. Pay based on experience.
