We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dishwasher / Steward to join our exceptional culinary team. Job Summary:
As our Dishwasher & Steward, you will support our team by ensuring all kitchen equipment, dish ware, and tools are meticulously cleaned, sanitized, and organized. While your primary focus will be on our Birdcage Restaurant, you may occasionally assist in the other outlets as needed. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will help maintain a hygienic and efficient back-of-house environment that allows our culinary team to deliver exceptional experiences. This role requires strong time management, the ability to work independently, and the flexibility to support a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen during high-volume periods.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained, and organized at all times. Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment Collects and removes trash from all kitchen areas and disposes of waste per the recycling guidelines. Assists in cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, utensils, and other small wares Cleans large equipment as assigned, following proper cleaning procedures. Assists in light food preparation as directed by the Chef on duty. Assists in putting away received ingredients of dry goods and perishable items
Qualifications:
Ability to arrive at work on time at your scheduled time, every time. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate the restaurant's schedule. The willingness to learn.
Required Experience:
Knowledge of industrial dishwashers is suggested but not required. We are a hands-on kitchen and will train you in the necessary processes.
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
