Classified HourlySUMMARY Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment used in the school cafeteria or kitchen. The primary duty of this position will be to operate the dishwasher efficiently, but you may also be required to assist with other kitchen tasks as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties must be performed on-site. Other duties may be assigned.?Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.?Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.?Load dirty dishes into the dishwasher, ensuring that items are properly arranged to maximize cleaning efficiency.?Unload clean dishes and utensils from the dishwasher and store them in appropriate locations.?Hand wash large or delicate items that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher.?Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including regular cleaning of the dishwasher, sinks, and countertops.?Follow proper sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.?Dispose of food waste and garbage in designated receptacles.?Assist kitchen staff with other duties as needed, such as food preparation, serving, and cleaning.SUPERVISORY
