Description:
Lost Grove Brewing is looking for a dedicated PM dishwasher to join our Hyde Park location Sunday-Thursday! Help us provide exceptional service in a team-oriented environment. As Idaho's first B Corp brewery, we pride ourselves on a positive workplace, great beer, and delicious food!
Dishwasher Responsibilities:
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment, including dishwashers, sinks, and related machinery. Ensure proper placement and organization of items. Sort, scrape, and rinse dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils to remove food particles and prepare them for washing. Monitor and maintain water temperatures and chemical levels for effective cleaning and sanitizing. Inspect and remove damaged or soiled items from circulation. Assist with the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Support kitchen staff in other tasks as needed, such as food preparation and plating. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including handwashing and glove usage. Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with inventory control and restocking of supplies as necessary.
Education and Experience:
Dishwashers - experience preferred Must be at least 16 years of age
Special Requirements:
Ability to work a PM shift, Sundays through Thursdays. Strong desire to support and source local. Interest and focus on supporting sustainability measures and waste reduction.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures Strong organizational skills Ability to multitask and manage stressful circumstances associated with a fast-paced and evolving work environment Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. A respect for safety procedures and willingness to follow all protocols associated with creating a safe work environment
What You'll Learn:
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, services, ordering, and inventory control. Familiarity and knowledge about food handling procedures. Good understanding of quality assurance, quality control, problem-solving, and troubleshooting kitchen-related issues. How to use specialized equipment including an oven, mixer, sharp knives, food ingredients, slicers, and dishwashing machine. How to use the Point of Sale system to take call-in and walk-up orders as well as manage online orders.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
This is a physical job that requires long periods of time on your feet and the ability to move quickly and efficiently. The preferred candidate for this position will be comfortable performing repetitive movements and have the mobility to push, pull, crouch, kneel, crawl, etc. A person in this position must have the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. They must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move about 160 lbs.
Environmental Conditions:
While performing the duties of this position, the worker is exposed to inside environmental conditions, extreme heat, potential for physical injury, exposure to hot fluids and machinery, and moving machinery.
