Dishwasher

Job Summary:

Operates automatic dishwasher that cleans and sanitizes all plates, glass, silverware, pots, and pans. Items too large for machine will be washed by hand.

Responsibilities:

Sets up dishwasher correctly i.e.: temperature, drains, detergents at proper levels. Washes dirty dishes then stacks and stores in the appropriate area of the kitchen. Thoroughly cleans dishwashing equipment and work areas. Performs clean-up in all kitchen areas. Wash pots and pans properly, including presoak and sanitizing. Dispose of waste in manner prescribed by management. Assists in putting away stock, rotating stock and cleaning stock rooms. Successfully complete training of required OSHA programs. Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures. All duties must be carried out in a safe manner. Be flexible and adaptable to the changes that will occur to your job Employee must treat everyone with dignity and respect. Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.

Qualifications:

Highly organized. Must be able to work the majority of the shift in a standing position, constantly moving, and able to lift 30 pounds. Strong Guest Service Skills Must have attention to detail and be customer service oriented. Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers.
