This dual role is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of our food service, ensuring that both food preparation and cleanliness standards are met. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and assembling ingredients. Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations. Support the serving staff by bussing tables and assisting with catering events as needed. Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Skills Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred. Knowledge of proper food handling techniques and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to assist in various kitchen tasks, including catering services when required.
