Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment by thoroughly washing and sanitizing items according to food safety standards Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and dietary staff Support meal preparation by organizing ingredients and ensuring all supplies are ready for service or catering events Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food service Aid in maintaining an organized kitchen environment by disposing of waste properly and managing dishwashing stations efficiently Assist with menu planning support tasks by preparing ingredients or garnishes as directed by culinary staff Support catering events or special functions with timely food prep and serving assistance when needed Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with food handling and safety protocols Experience working in restaurants or the food industry provides a strong foundation for understanding fast-paced kitchen environments Culinary experience including knife skills, meal preparation, cooking, and food service enhances your ability to contribute effectively Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices is essential for maintaining health regulations Familiarity with catering or serving roles can be advantageous for supporting various dining occasions Prior kitchen experience helps develop efficiency in food prep tasks and understanding of kitchen workflows This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary skills while supporting a vibrant kitchen environment.
