The dishwasher is a vital member of the kitchen team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all dishware and the overall facility. This role is essential for ensuring that the team has a steady supply of clean equipment to keep Ruthie's running efficiently. //www.ruthiesjuice.com/careers Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, blenders, kitchen tools, and food preparation equipment efficiently and thoroughly Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations, sinks, storage areas, and kitchen spaces Ensure all sanitation and food safety procedures are consistently followed Take out trash and recycling and keep waste areas clean and organized Sweep, mop, and assist with general café and kitchen cleaning duties throughout shifts Restock clean dishes, utensils, cups, and kitchen supplies for the front and back of house teams Support kitchen and café staff with basic food prep and operational tasks as needed Help receive, organize, and store deliveries and inventory properly Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented environment and assist wherever needed Qualifications & Skills We are happy to train the right candidate, though the following experience and qualities are a plus: Previous experience in a restaurant, café, kitchen, or food service environment preferred but not required Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 40 lbs Reliable, punctual, and dependable Strong teamwork and communication skills Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, organized workspace Flexible and willing to assist in different areas of café operations when needed Positive, "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the team Why Join Ruthie's?
