Duties Operate commercial dishwashing machines efficiently, ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Monitor water temperature, chemical levels, and machine performance to maintain optimal cleaning standards. Sort, stack, and store clean items properly to facilitate quick access for food preparation and service. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and handling food items following safety protocols. Support catering and banquet setups by providing clean serving ware and assisting with light food handling duties. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area by regularly cleaning equipment, floors, sinks, and surrounding surfaces. Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, sanitation standards, and equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and basic cooking techniques. Experience working in banquet or catering settings is a plus. Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards is essential. Prior hotel or hospitality industry experience can be advantageous. Strong understanding of kitchen safety practices related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
