Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and basic culinary tasks. Your dedication ensures that our kitchen operates smoothly, food safety standards are upheld, and meals are prepared efficiently to delight our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry. Duties Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety guidelines. Support the culinary team by organizing supplies, stocking stations, and ensuring all food handling procedures meet health regulations. Help with meal assembly and plating under supervision to ensure timely service during busy hours. Maintain a clean work area by sanitizing surfaces, disposing of waste properly, and adhering to food safety protocols. Follow proper knife skills techniques for ingredient preparation to ensure efficiency and safety in the kitchen. Support catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients or assisting with setup as needed. Skills Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Strong background in food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices within the food industry. Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques to support kitchen operations. Previous restaurant or culinary experience demonstrating familiarity with food service environments. Proficiency in knife skills and basic culinary techniques essential for efficient food prep. Ability to follow detailed instructions for food safety compliance and proper sanitation standards. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen staff during busy service times.
