Join our dynamic team as a Food prep/Dishwasher Employee and become a vital part of delivering exceptional food service experiences! In this energetic role, you will support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a high standard of hygiene. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure smooth service during busy meal periods, special events, and catering functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant hospitality environment. A Dishwasher maintains sanitation and safety by cleaning dishes, equipment, and workstations, removing waste, and assisting with basic food prep. Key tasks include operating dish machines, sweeping/mopping, stocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with health standards, often requiring heavy lifting and fast-paced,, physically demanding work.
Core Responsibilities Dishwashing and Sanitation:
Uses commercial dishwashers or manual sinks to clean glassware, pots, pans, and utensils, maintaining proper sanitizer levels.
Cleaning and Organization:
Sweeps/mops floors, cleans walls, sanitizes garbage cans, and organizes storage areas.
Waste Management:
Removes trash from the kitchen and empties it into dumpsters.
Support Duties:
Assists with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping vegetables) and supports chefs/staff during service.
Safety Compliance:
Adheres to safety and health regulations, including proper handling of chemicals.
Job Requirements Physical Strength:
Ability to stand/walk for long periods (8-10 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs.
Environment:
Works in a fast-paced, noisy, and hot environment.
Schedule:
Often requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills:
Prior, professional dishwashing experience is preferred, though not always required. Typical Tasks Washing and cleaning all pots and pans Returning cleaned pans to proper storage areas Sweeping and mopping floors Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas. Transporting food and supplies. Filling pans with ingredients Following opening and closing procedures.
Pay:
$16.50 - $18.50 per hour
