Job Description
Rachel's of Bad Axe is looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position plays a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly by maintaining a clean work environment and assisting with food preparation. Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Keep dishwashing stations clean, organized, and stocked. Remove trash and recycling and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed. Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, portioning, and preparing ingredients. Stock and organize food, supplies, and kitchen inventory. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines. Assist cooks and kitchen staff with prep and support tasks during busy periods. Help with opening and closing cleaning duties. Notify management when supplies or cleaning products need to be reordered. Work efficiently to support smooth kitchen operations and timely service. Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness and organization. Dependable and punctual. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help where needed. Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is helpful but not required. Benefits Flexible scheduling. Employee meal discounts.
