Job Description

We are looking for Stewards and Dishwashers to work at events at the Huntington Place Convention Center. Generate additional income and be part of a great team working in our events. Pay Rate $ 16 an hour
Dishwasher Responsibilities:
Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized. Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks. Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift. Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers. Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab. Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries. Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift. Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves. Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties. Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed. Steward Responsibilities A Steward works primarily in the dining area of a restaurant or eatery. They move back and forth between these areas attending to diners and assisting waitstaff with their duties. A Steward duties and responsibilities include: Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after diners are done eating Wiping up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables Straightening out the tablecloth or replacing stained ones Replacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new diners Refilling paper napkins, salt and pepper shakers and any other depleted condiments on the dining table Refilling drinking glasses with water Bringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busy Handling cleaning of the dining area at the close of day Summary As a Steward/Dishwasher, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency in food preparation areas. Reporting to the Head Chef, your core responsibilities will include bussing tables and maintaining a clean workspace. Your relevant skills in food handling, cleaning, and restaurant experience will be vital in supporting our culinary operations. Additionally, your familiarity with banquet settings and catering will enhance our service quality.
